Simply Be - KIND'S New Years Retreat 2019

Imagine kick starting your new year, with a community of warm hearts, log fires and healing practices. Nurturing yourself with connection and kindness rather than ‘New Year, New You’ goals . With the pressures we continually strive for, how about creating a space where you can simply meet your essence, allow the uniqueness of your cracks to be celebrated, your softness to be felt and the wonder of all that you are to simply be.

Prices from £295 for a shared room, private premium rooms available from £750

This is the perfect Christmas present to yourself, or a loved one. Enjoy a clean & clear weekend and start the year as you mean to go on, with love, friendship and light. I have designed this retreat weekend, keeping in mind what I feel we all need, space, time, kindness and love. January can be a bleak month and I know a simple spark of goodness can brighten up the every day mundane, re-focusing our lives to be precious works of art. It’s the kind of retreat I was in need of last year, so this year, I’m making it for you!

Whats involved?

  • Morning Yoga asana practice will bring heat to the body. We shall work with a strong and soft flowing practice that aims to activate the natural energy for life we have within us.

  • Meditation, Yoga Nidra and visualisation will allow our subconscious to unfurl and our intuition to be felt.

  • We will support our practice with delicious, clean and healing foods prepared thoughtfully by Lena to nourish us from within. We will offer this weekend to deep connection, having two meals a day with some healthy snacks in-between to give our digestive system a well deserved break.

  • Be lead on journeys into mid winter nature to bring harmony between ourselves and the natural laws of the universe, honouring the elements and enjoying the contrast of coming home to a warm and cosy Priory with hot tea and open fires.

  • Through ritual and intention we invite in our Higher Selves and  Spirit to guide our year ahead. Setting ourselves up to re-orientate towards the ultimate path of joy and contentment.

  • The Voice is one of the best tools I know for connection, self expression and release. Working with sounds and mantras to open our hearts to giving and receiving.

  • Gong Baths and Sound Healings will encourage deep rest and realignment from within.

  • Free movement and dance is a celebratory tool as old as time that most of us don’t get enough of. Shifts self consciousness and unlock the wild joy that we all have the right too, mainly because it makes us feel so darn good!

  • Karma work is good for the soul! Being of service is a practice we cultivate in order to bring balance and grace to our lives, there will be a variety of Karma Yogi tasks to volunteer for from helping Lena prepare the evening meal, setting up and down the Yoga space, creating our daily alter and preparing tea for the group.

  • Healing exercises, breath work, reflective writing and sharing will be part of our journey and there to support us all.

  • Working with plant medicines such as Ceremonial Cacao, herbal mugwort tea and essential oils we will learn to harness the power and beauty that mother nature offers us.

  • Deep body work will be available to book separately with a highly experienced massage therapist and energy worker. Body work very complimentary to my practice and if you can, I suggest you sign your self up for this.

  • No experience is necessary for any of the activities. We welcome beginners,  however a basic understanding of Yoga would be helpful to get the most out of the morning practices.

For those with injuries or illness, please get in touch to see whether this retreat would be right for you.

I believe deeply that being together, as one tribe and family allows our collective vibration to rise. When we lift each other we lift ourselves. With plenty of time for being alone, or in stillness as a group, we can cultivate a space of light, that we can carry back to our lives at home.

My wish is that you will leave Butley Priory feeling bright, held, with a body that feels strong and activated, a clear and calm mind and an excitement for what is to come.

How about  starting 2019 loving yourself as deeply as you possibly can? Through a long weekend in the country side,  set to nourish your soul.

My desire is to offer a home coming to the simple truth of being you!

Because you are so so worthy of it!

Butley Priory has always been a place of sacred worship being a gateway to a 12th-century Monastery. This makes it the perfect location for retreats. It’s also where I grew up! is It is a deeply special place that I know like the back of my hand, enamelling me to share the best of what butley and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Drink tea and read books by the fireplace, enjoy the simple beauty of Suffolk nature, river walks and time in the woods will be our companions, gaze up at the magnificent vaulted ceilings, or simply snuggle into one of Butley’s spacious bedrooms, known for where Mary Rose, Henry VIII's sister stayed in secret with her lover!

Fill your soul with magic and within these sacred grounds, it is the perfect place for integration and expansion.

How To Get Here

Butley Priory is two hours from London on the East Anglian Coast.

I am in love with the communities that are created through my work. Holding retreats, sharing knowledge and creating spaces for people to thrive, connect and be free is my passion. I am a strong believer in the power of the mind, our bodies ability to heal, the importance of creativity and soul connection. This is at the heart of my KIND work, it has brought me peace within myself and I hope I can share some of that with you!

I originally trained as a dancer before falling in love with Yoga in India in 2010. My experience in dance and various training's near and far give my classes a unique style with a focus on loving the self.

I started  KIND Yoga 5 years ago. My classes range from slow, connected flows, to dynamic vinyasa practices, holding space for ceremony, healing exercises, sound healing and community. My own personal journey and aim is to integrate the physical body, mind and heart. My focus is on the connection to the spirit in combination with holistic strength and health. I try to nourish and support whoever is on the mat, whether you are a total beginner or experienced Yogi!  Music plays a big part of my life and practice, Live music, playlists and mantras are all a part of my work.

Gabrielle has been teaching for seven years and her offering has slowly evolved with her practise. Her priority is to create a compassionate space for people to explore their physical landscape and breath as portal into the energy body and the subtler realms within and without.

As many yogis discovered thousands of years ago, she too observed how her body hoarded habits and memories (samskaras) and that movement and breath work was the most effective way to release these tensions, to celebrate the body and awaken the mind. It is only through releasing these ghosts and our conditioning, that we are able to see the world clearly and move through life from a space clarity and connection.

She teaches a slow, mindful flow, prefaced with some kind of pranayama to draw people to the innerworld. She’s interested in finding different ways to explore the body, seeking different words to communicate and new experiences to awaken. She closes classes singing with crystal bowls, to create a nourishing space for people to soften more deeply into themselves.
